I’m pretty left leaning on most socio-political issues. I’m not easy to offend. However…

I found last night’s Super Bowl Half Time Show to be morally bankrupt and reprehensible.

Remember on Thanksgiving when Atlanta saxophonist Mike Phillips played a beautiful rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner?

Exactly…

But you probably have imagery permanently burned into your skull of Shakira and JLo gyrating on stage while lip syncing to horrible (dare I say?) music, with a bunch of painted up weirdos in the backdrop.

In the 50’s comedians like Lenny Bruce used to get yanked off stage and arrested for saying curse words. Television could only show Elvis’s upper body as his movement was considered sexually suggestive and unwholesome.

Such artists led the entertainment industry out of the puritanical era. But what era are we in now?

50 year old JLo had pants tailored to showcase her naked butt cheeks. She routinely bent over and shook her almost completely naked ass into the camera for all of the world to gaze upon.

Pretty cool right?

No!

Not cool at all.

Impressionable children were watching. No viewer discretion was forewarned because no alligators were killed.

You think you’re a conservative? If so you must be exclusively fiscally conservative. Because if you call yourself a conservative but take no issue with this you suffer from serious cognitive dissonance. Of course, Trump is obviously not socially conservative either.

You call yourself a liberal? You think this is progress for woman’s liberation? I am interested to hear how feminists will weigh in on this issue. You don’t want swimsuits in the Miss America pageant. But this is ok? Yet we supposedly live in a rape culture.

Are these the icons who we want our little girls to emulate?

Is this the impression we want our little boys to have of women?

Are women who sexually objectify themselves good role models for children or are they Whores Of Babylon?

This era has been prophesized and the controllers are doing all they can to fulfill the prophecy.

I am not exactly a Bible thumper and I’ve said in the past Your Holy Book Is Evil but the symbolism is undeniable. The Book of Revelation speaks of the masses being intoxicated off the fornication and prostitution of the blasphemous and evil Whore of Babylon.
